Anberlin concert tickets!

Hurray! Anberlin is coming to The Netherlands! And they are giving a concert in Amersfoort, near my city. I have bought 2 shiny tickets for this rare occasion, and seemingly just in time, because it's sold out now.

Here is their site, where you can listen to some of their music: http://www.anberlin.com/news/

To give you an idea of their music

And I'll finish with one of my personal favorites.

Hurray hurray :-D

Recipe Time: Dinner Salad

Now for the second part of the main course:

Chicken and mushroom pie with dinner salad.

Recipe Time: Chicken and Mushroom pie

Now for the recipe which was supposed to have been posted at the beginning of this month.
My parents came over for a thank you dinner to show my gratitude for their help with the house. The main course was this:

Chicken and mushroom pie with dinner salad.

To make it all better

<3
To those who are wondering, it's Iceland from Hetalia World Series. Isn't he cute? >.<

Thank you Blogger

For letting my posts magically disappear -_-
Here I was, thinking I had posted a nice recipe, which is now gone.
Also another draft post was multiplied 6 times and had messed up tags.
I wonder what happened with their servers, but this sucks anyhow. >.>

Don't fear, Ichi is here!

Ichi has successfully made his entrance into our home!

Bask in the Glory

Ah. Do you feel that spring sunlight on your skin? Doesn't it feel great?
Doesn't it make you relax and forget your troubles?

OMG The Horror D:

Ok, this picture looks like some scene from a horror movie, but it's actually my soon-to-be bedroom. Can you imagine sleeping in there? D: I (almost) see dead people >.>

Victory!

Ok, now for the reason I've been afk for a while.

The signs are here..

It's coming >.>

Plant Ranting

Oh how I love plants!
It's awesome how they're so versatile. If you just lay a potato on some soil, it starts to grow by itself.

Ichi the Killer

Hinya, I'm Ichi! :3 I'm a cat >.> I live in this house where i get free food.
This is a picture of me.

Meanwhile, while watching Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan

I couldn't escape the feeling that Hijikata-san of the Shinsengumi looks a lot like Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji.

Some songs I wanted to share with you

I really like this song from Jean Jacques Burnel, called Waltz. The song is in French, if you want lyrics or a translation, I can post them/give them to you (just comment). It's from the anime Gankutsuou, which is an adaptation of the book The Count of Monte Cristo written by Alexandre Dumas. Both are great. The anime is about getting the ultimate revenge. It has a really nice atmosphere, caused by the interesting colours and patterns used for the style. It's something you don't encounter often in an anime.

Got legs?

To update you on the papercraft model I was working on (Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere): I'm now finished with the lower body. Somehow with bigger models I always start with the feet.
So this was the idea:

New Year's First

Sorry for the delayed post. You know how that goes; all that family hopping during the holidays. But I'll make it up to you.

First things first:

Happy New Year!!

Update: The posts were getting a bit too long, so now you have to click "Read More >>" to read the full post. It's worth it! You can always return to the blog by clicking the title "Kroekroek" above or "Home" below.

OMG we're in Narnia!

Last night I dreamt the snow was gone, but when I woke up it was still there. Too bad.
On my way to school I noticed the landscape looked a lot like a certain land in a certain movie. Which reminded me of the following (for those of you who know the Twilight books).

Translation Humour

So, you go to google translate.
You switch the languages to "from German to Dutch" and enter "Kohlmeisen".
Which is this little birdy.

Ever wondered what a tree thinks?

Some people from EOS magazine and Natuurpunt decided they do.
They took a 100 year old tree in Brussels, Belgium, and equipped it with all sorts of meters to measure ozone, light, dust and the weather. They also gave it a webcam and microphone. This equipment measures the tree's circumstances and let's the tree tell us how he feels. Pretty cool right? Check out how they did it here.

You can follow the tree's life via all sorts of media like Facebook and Twitter. Just check out the site.

Working on: Gwendolyn

I'm currently working on the papercraftmodel of Gwendolyn from the game Odin Sphere.

This isn't the hardest model I've worked on so far, but it is the biggest. There aren't really any good picture's of it online, so I took a screenie of the 3D model in pepakura viewer.

What I especially liked are the wings. I think the colours are magnificent. I also like the pose and overall look. I'm just about done with cutting out every piece, except the really small ones, I was afraid they might get lost (not the first time that would happen). I'll post pictures of the progress and hopefully I can make a good picture of the model as future reference for everyone interested in making this model.

If you're interested in making this model: It's 13 pages with 220 pieces. You can download the model here. You need to download and install a special program for viewing and printing it which you can download here. Look under "Download" and then select "Pepakura Viewer".
If you have any questions regarding materials needed or other things related, please comment and I'll get back to you.
